Sa-Hali Sabres punch ticket to semifinals at B.C. High School Basketball Championships

LANGLEY, B.C. — The Sa-Hali Sabres are in the final four of the B.C. School Sports AAA Girls Basketball Provincial Championships.

Nevena Nogic led the way with 33 points as the Sabres punched their ticket to the semifinals with a 63-47 win over Robert Bateman Secondary out of Abbotsford in the quarter-finals Thursday (Feb. 27). The No. 2 Sabres also picked up a win of 63-36 win over Stelly’s Secondary of Saanichton in the round of 16 on Wednesday.

Next up for the Sabres is the Duchess Park Secondary Condors out of Prince George. Tip-off for the semifinal matchup is 5:00 p.m. from the south court at the Langley Events Centre.

The winner will face either Mennonite Educational Institute of Abbotsford or Vernon Secondary in the provincial finals Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
