WolfPack women to play in curling nationals playoffs Friday

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. — The Thompson Rivers University (TRU) WolfPack will play the McMaster Marauders in a Friday (Feb. 28) morning semi-final at the U SPORTS Curling Championships in Lethbridge.

The WolfPack foursome of Holly Hafeli, Natalie Hafeli, Hannah O’Neil, and Jorja Kopytko won three in a row to finish the round-robin stage with a 5-2 record at the Lethbridge Curling Club.

The winner of Friday’s semi-final, which gets underway at 8:30 a.m. PT, will face either Wilfried Laurier or Dalhouse in Friday’s gold medal game at 1:30 p.m. PT. The losers will play for bronze at the same time Friday.

TRU finished second in the seven-team round robin stage after posting wins over McMaster (10-3) and Lethbridge (10-4) Tuesday, Guelph (6-3) Wednesday, along with St. Francis Xavier (6-2) and Regina (5-4) on Thursday.
