
Four people arrested, one employee injured after downtown Kamloops nightclub assault
KAMLOOPS — Four people were arrested and one person was assaulted after a downtown Kamloops nightclub employee reportedly tried to stop a nightlife contributor from leaving with open liquor.
Kamloops RCMP say patrolling officers saw a brawl break out in the 100-block of Fifth Avenue at around 1:35 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 23).
According to the RCMP report, an employee at the nightclub tried to stop the open liquor-holding patron, who then became violent. Three other people became involved and an employee was injured during the assault.
In a news release issued Thursday (Feb. 27), RCMP say the four suspects attempted to leave the scene but were quickly found and arrested by numerous officers. The four were released with a court date and conditions.
