South Kamloops residents asked to conserve water after pipe break

UPDATE (11:50 a.m.): The city says crews are repairing the water main break.

However, in a post to social media, the city doesn’t specify where the break is located.

Residents in Aberdeen, Dufferin, Iron Mask, Knutsford, Lac Le Jeune, Pineview Valley and Upper Sahali are asked to reduce unnecessary water consumption to help maintain supply for domestic use and fire suppression.

UPDATE (11:00 a.m.): The City of Kamloops says residents on Robinson Crescent and Tunstall Crescent are currently without water.

Additionally, the City is asking all other impacted neighbourhoods to continue reducing water usage at this time.

The City has called a news conference regarding the water main break for 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Another update is also expected at around 2:00 p.m.

EARLIER: KAMLOOPS — Residents of Upper Sahali, Aberdeen and Dufferin are being asked to conserve water Tuesday evening (Feb. 25) as City of Kamloops officials investigate a water main break.

It’s not known where the water main break took place or how long it will take crews to locate and repair it.
