THUNDER BAY, Ont. — Fourth time’s the charm for Kamloops skip Corryn Brown, as she and Team B.C. advanced to the Scotties Tournament of Hearts playoffs.

Brown and B.C. defeated New Brunswick Wednesday night (Feb. 19) 9-5 and sit third in Pool A at the national women’s curling championship with a 5-2 record. Brown competed at the Scotties in 2020, 2021 and 2024 but didn’t advance to the playoffs.

Rachel Homan and Team Canada clinched first in Pool A, sitting with a perfect 7-0 record. The Kayla Skrlik rink from Alberta has a similar 5-2 record as Brown and B.C. but they have the head-to-head tiebreaker after a 9-8 win on Feb. 15.
