
Kamloops Storm defeat Chase Heat 4-2 Sunday, close gap to first-place Wranglers
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Storm got a goal and two assists from Ben Filippone to defeat the Chase Heat 4-2 at McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre Sunday night (Feb. 16).
Braycen Dube, Ryan Larsen and Hayden Selin chipped in with two points each for the Storm. Brenner Fyfe stopped 35 shots for Kamloops.
The Heat got goals from Lochlan Stefanishyn and Jace Koskimaki. Haden Heide stopped 44 of the 47 shots he faced for Chase.
The win brought the Storm (23-18-1-0-0, 47 points) to within three points of the first-place 100 Mile House Wranglers (23-15-1-3-0, 50 points) in the Doug Birks Division of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League. Both teams have two games remaining in the regular season schedule, which will be played next weekend.
