WILLIAMS LAKE B.C. — RCMP are asking for help in finding one man after a home invasion Wednesday (Feb. 12) in the community of Esler, just west of Williams Lake.

Police say Anthony Raven Paradis, 25, has been charged with several offences including break and enter, aggravated assault, as well as robbery. Mounties say he was one of two men who forced their way into a house just after midnight.

In a news release, RCMP say the resident in the house sustained a serious injury after they were “attacked with an edged weapon.” They say the incident was likely targeted as the suspects “stole a variety of items from the home, including cash.”

“[The suspects] fled the scene upon police arrival,” RCMP said, in a news release. “One suspect was arrested following a search warrant at a residence on Second Avenue in Williams Lake. During the search police recovered the weapon used in the offence.”
