
Cariboo Memorial Hospital emergency department temporarily closed for 18 hours
WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — The emergency department at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake will be temporarily closed for 18 hours heading into the Family Day long weekend.
Interior Health says emergency services will be unavailable at the hospital in Williams Lake from 12:00 p.m. Friday (Feb. 14) to 6:00 a.m. Saturday. A reason for the closure was not provided in a news release issued Friday.
Patients in need of emergency care are being told to visit 100 Mile District General Hospital in 100 Mile House, GR Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel or Bella Coola General Hospital in Bella Coola during the closure.
Interior Health says all other inpatient services will continue as normal at Cariboo Memorial Hospital.
