Man arrested after Kamloops family fends off early morning home invader
KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops man was arrested after a family awoke to an intruder in their home earlier this week.
Kamloops RCMP say they were called to the 1200-block of Kimberly Crescent on the North Shore at around 3:40 a.m. Monday (Feb. 3) in response to a 9-1-1 call where a man and woman could be heard yelling for help.
In a news release issued Wednesday (Feb. 5), RCMP say a man was found inside a fenced yard, trying to get through the window of a door.
Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says there was a tussle between the man and the homeowners. Eventually, responding officers pulled him away.
