Man arrested after break-in and assault in Malakwa

SICAMOUS, B.C. — A man faces multiple charges after a break-in and assault in Malakwa.
Sicamous RCMP say they were called to a break-and-enter in progress early Saturday (Jan. 18) morning where an armed man entered a Malakwa home and confronted the residents inside.
In a news release issued Wednesday, RCMP say they arrested Kraig Bergson. He’s been charged with assault with a weapon, break and enter, disguising his face, breach of undertaking and possessing weapon for dangerous purpose.
Police say Bergson is being held in custody as his matters are before the courts.
