Blazers pick up veteran D Ravndahl from Brandon

KAMLOOPS — The Blazers bought from Brandon to bolster their blueline.

In their second trade of the day, the Kamloops Blazers acquired 19-year-old defenceman Rhett Ravndahl from the Brandon Wheat Kings in exchange for a fifth-round selection in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft.

Ravndahl, from Birch Hills, Saskatchewan, has played 29 games during the 2024-25 season, registering four points on two goals and two assists. In his 113-game WHL career split between Brandon and Portland, Ravndahl has four goals and 11 assists for 15 points.

The WHL trade deadline will come Thursday (Jan. 9) at 5:00 p.m.
