Fog advisory issued for Clinton, 100 Mile House area
CLINTON B.C. — A heads-up to drivers in the Cariboo as a fog advisory is in place between Clinton and 100 Mile House.
Environment Canada says there will be periods of near-zero visibility at times because of dense fog that is also expected to impact travel on Highway 97 at the Begbie Summit Sunday (Jan. 5).
“The atmospheric conditions are favourable for dense fog formation,” the alert from Environment Canada said. “Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.”
“If travelling, be prepared for areas of near-zero visibility. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.”
