Homicide team investigating death of woman found near a Port Moody, B.C., marina
PORT MOODY, B.C. — RCMP says the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is investigating the death of a woman whose body was found near a Port Moody, B.C., marina on New Year’s Day.
Police said they were called to the Reed Point Marina around 9:20 a.m. on Jan. 1 when a person was reported in the water.
They said the body of a woman in her 60s was pulled to shore with help from the Coast Guard.
Homicide investigators now say the circumstances have been deemed suspicious and criminality has not been ruled out.
