Man in custody after early morning weapons call in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — RCMP say a man is in custody after a weapons call that led to a massive police presence on Kitchener Crescent early Tuesday (Dec. 30) morning.
Mounties say they were called to the 150-block of Kitchener Crescent around 4:00 a.m. to reports that a person was allegedly making threats involving a firearm.
RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said a portion of the road was closed as police responded.
“Fortunately, the suspect eventually surrendered without incident and was taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation,” Evelyn said.
