OTTAWA — It’s become a Boxing Day tradition.

The World Junior Hockey Championship gets underway Thursday (Dec. 26) in Ottawa with four games starting off the round robin portion of the tournament.

Team Canada will play Finland at 4:30 p.m. Pacific time. Games are televised on TSN.

Kamloops hockey fans will want to keep track of local boy Sawyer Mynio, who is part of the Team Canada blueline. Mynio plays for the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League and was drafted in the third round (89th overall) by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
