Cariboo Snowfall Warning

Snowfall warning issued for the Cariboo

Dec 17, 2024 | 11:23 AM

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — A snowfall warning is in effect for the Cariboo region.

Environment Canada states that 10-to-15 centimetres of snowfall is expected for the Cariboo, including Quesnel and Williams Lake, from Tuesday (Dec. 17) night until Wednesday morning.

“The snow will begin overnight and will ease late Wednesday morning as the system departs,” Environment Canada states. “Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.”

The weather agency says it’s due to a moisture-laden Pacific frontal system that will bring snow to parts of B.C.’s northern interior, especially over higher terrain.
