Kamloops Honda’s tradition of giving back hits year 32
KAMLOOPS — Once again Kamloops Honda, along with support from Save-On Foods, Home Hardware and Canadian Tire, has donated 100 Christmas hampers to the Kamloops Salvation Army.
The baskets are filled with all the fixings for a Christmas dinner, including stuffing, potatoes, fresh fruit, cereal and hot chocolate. It’s the 32nd year Honda has donated hampers, growing exceptionally since year one.
“It started with one hamper and this is probably my favorite charity, to be honest with you, because it actually comes from the staff,” said Kamloops Honda GM Troy Collinge. “Every single paycheque the staff donate a little bit into this fund, so this comes from the Kamloops Honda staff. I am so proud of our staff. It’s just a wonderful wonderful thing.”
The 100 hampers will be supplied to singles, seniors and smaller families, with the Salvation Army also putting together more than 100 additional hampers to ensure all the families registered can have a happy holiday season.
