Temporary change in access at Shuswap Lake General Hospital this weekend

SALMON ARM, B.C. — Interior Health says the entrance to the emergency department at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital will be closed this weekend to allow crews to replace the current doors.
While the Shuswap emergency department is open around the clock, the doors will be closed between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, and between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8.
“The emergency department and all normal weekend services are open for patients,” Interior Health said, in a statement.
“However, during this temporary change, patients and visitors will need to use the alternate fourth floor entrance off 10th St. NE.; this entrance is identified on signage as the ‘Main Entrance’ and is just off the main parking lot located closest to the hospital.”
