Vehicle fire snarls overnight traffic on Highway 1 between Cache Creek and Spences Bridge

CACHE CREEK, B.C. — Traffic is halted in both directions on the Trans Canada Highway between Cache Creek and Spences Bridge Monday morning (Dec. 2).

DriveBC first reported of a vehicle fire on the stretch of Highway 1 between Venables Valley Road and Cornwall Road, nearly nine kilometres south of Cache Creek, shortly before 12:00 a.m. Monday.

An assessment is in progress, and a detour is not available. DriveBC says another update is due at 10:00 a.m. Monday.
