New walk-in clinic-style Urgent and Primary Care Centre opens on Kamloops North Shore
KAMLOOPS — A new Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) in Kamloops is open on the North Shore.
In a social media post, Interior Health (IH) announced the North Shore UPCC located at Northills Shopping Centre on 700 Tranquille Rd. will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., seven days a week, including statutory holidays.
However, IH says the North Shore UPCC will open in a phased approach during its first two weeks. From Tuesday, Nov. 26 to Monday, Dec. 2, the centre will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily. The following week, from Tuesday, Dec. 3 to Monday, Dec. 9, the hours will expand to 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
IH says patients can walk in during business hours and will be seen based on urgency, similar to an emergency department. Residents can also book an appointment by calling 250-314-2256. The phone line opens at 10:00 a.m.
