Downtown Kamloops bus routes back to normal as Fourth Avenue closure ends
KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops says bus routes in the downtown core will be back to normal now that 4th Avenue has reopened to traffic.
It says buses on both Route 6 – Downtown Loop and Route 9 – Gleneagles will return to 4th Avenue starting Monday, Nov. 25. Those buses were being detoured onto 6th Avenue due to work related to the City Gardens development between Battle and Columbia streets.
The closure on 4th Avenue – which began in late July – was supposed to end in late August, though it was extended a few times because of delays.
With work complete, transit routes in Kamloops are back to normal as the downtown transit exchange reopened earlier this month after a closure connected to the Lansdowne Street sewer replacement project.
