Sorrento man dies after colliding head-on with a semi-truck near Blind Bay
BLIND BAY, B.C. — Salmon Arm RCMP are investigation a vehicle collision that killed a 40-year-old man from Sorrento.
At around 10:00 a.m. Wednesday (Nov. 20), RCMP say officers from the Salmon Arm Detachment and BC Highway Patrol responded to a head-on collision between a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle on the Trans Canada Highway between Highlands Drive and Golf Course Drive near Blind Bay.
In a news release issued Thursday, RCMP say evidence at the scene indicates the driver of the passenger vehicle drove into the wrong side of the divided highway and collided head on with the semi.
The man driving the passenger vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver and passenger of the semi-truck suffered minor injuries.
