Pats trade Merritt native Jaxsin Vaughan to Everett
REGINA, SASK. — The Regina Pats have traded 18-year-old Merritt native Jaxsin Vaughan to the Everett Silvertips for 19-year-old forward Caden Brown and a first round pick in 2025.
Vaughan has two goals and seven points in 16 games with the Pats this season. A first round draft pick of the Pats in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft, he had 15 goals and 25 points last season.
Jaxsin’s twin Corbin, a defenceman, remains with the Pats. He’s got three assists in 13 games in the 2024-25 season.
The Vaughan brothers went undrafted at the 2024 NHL Draft, though they were both ranked in the final NHL Central Scouting rankings in April.
