RCMP nab suspect in North Shore ramming incident

KAMLOOPS — After appealing for information on a man alleged to have rammed a police vehicle, Kamloops RCMP have made an arrest.

Detachment spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says officers were called to the area of Comazzetto Road and Vicars Road in Valleyview Thursday afternoon (Nov. 14). A member of the public had spotted someone believed to be the suspect.

“Officers attended the area and located a suspect, who fled into a nearby commercial establishment,” said Evelyn. “He was taken into custody with the assistance of the Police Dog Service Unit shortly after. It turns out, the man was also allegedly wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant.”

The man remains in custody.
