Salvation Army Kamloops rings first bells of 2024 Kettle Campaign
KAMLOOPS — The holiday season is approaching and the Salvation Army in Kamloops has kicked off its annual Kettle campaign.
Local organizers were set up at Sarah’s Independent Grocer Wednesday morning (Nov. 13) to receive the first cash and card-tap donations. Major Tracy Goyak says the money given to the kettles is used for Salvation Army programs, including the emergency food bank, the seniors breakfast program and after school programs for children and youth.
“The money stays in Kamloops, obviously. It goes to the Salvation Army for our programs and funds our programs throughout the year,” explains Goyak. “Everything we do at the Salvation Army, we rely on these funds to get us through the whole year.”
