WolfPack men’s basketball team outlast T-Wolves 88-55 in overtime

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson Rivers University (TRU) WolfPack men’s basketball team is 2-0 to start the 2024-25 Canada West season.

The WolfPack beat the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) Timberwolves in Prince George 88-85 in overtime. TRU outscored UNBC 14-11 in the extra frame.

The WolfPack had five players reach double digits in points. Forward Asher Mayan and guard Cyrus Harrison scored 17 and 11 points respectively while three bench players – Steve Stinson with 16, Denys Bachurin with 15 and Erin Chamble with 12 – rose to the occasion.

TRU’s next game is Friday, Nov. 8, at home against the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m. from the Tournament Capital Centre.
