KAMLOOPS — The Royal Canadian Legion’s Poppy Campaign is underway across the city, with donations being gathered for veteran support initiatives.

The annual campaign is focused on local Legion branches, which means the money stays in Kamloops. Donations are held in trust at the branch level, which allows the Legion to directly support veterans and their families.

“The people of Kamloops are amazing,” says Royal Canadian Legion Branch 52 President Daniel Martin. “We really appreciate their support because it’s extremely important to make sure that we donate to the poppy campaign so that we can help as many veterans as are in need. We really do appreciate that every year they come down and support us.”
