Kamloops’ Pangilinan honoured by national chamber body

KAMLOOPS — The executive director of the Kamloops and District Chamber of Commerce has been given a prestigious award.

Last week, Acacia Pangilinan was named Executive of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada in the 500-to-999-member category.

The recognition is awarded on the basis of outstanding performance and community leadership, and was presented at the organization’s annual conference in Halifax.

“This recognition is truly an honor, and I am incredibly grateful to be acknowledged among such dedicated professionals,” said Pangilinan in a news release.

“I owe this achievement to our amazing team at the Kamloops & District Chamber, our dedicated Board of Directors, my fantastic peers across the Chamber network and our incredible members, partners and business community who inspire me every day. This award is a reflection of our shared commitment to advancing the interests of our members and making a positive impact in our region.”
