Conservative Williams to represent Salmon-Arm Shuswap in Victoria

SALMON ARM, B.C. — The newly-drawn riding of Salmon Arm-Shuswap will have a new MLA.
David Williams was elected Saturday (Oct. 19) with a comfortable margin of 52 per cent of the votes — well ahead of the NDP’s Sylvia Lindgren at 30 per cent.
Independent Greg McCune, who was the BC United candidate before that party’s collapse, finished a distant third with nine per cent.
Green candidate Jed Wiebe received about seven per cent while a second independent, Sherry Roy, who received just one per cent.
