KAMLOOPS — Conservative Peter Milobar — who held Kamloops-North Thompson for BC United when the writ dropped — will return to Victoria to represent Kamloops Centre.

During the general election Saturday (Oct. 19), Milobar took about 49 per cent of the vote, with NDP challenger Kamal Grewal getting about 41 per cent.

Coming in third was Randy Sunderman of the Green Party at 10 per cent.

Milobar, a former Kamloops mayor, was one of the BC United incumbents left with a decision to make when leader Kevin Falcon suspended the party’s campaign on the eve of the writ drop.
