Blazers close road trip with 5-3 loss to Americans

KENNEWICK, WA. — The Kamloops Blazers return home licking their wounds after closing a five-game road trip with a 5-3 loss Sunday (Oct. 13) to the Tri-City Americans in Kennewick, Washington.

Gavin Garland scored twice while Lukas Matecha made 32 saves for the winners.

Kamloops got goals from Tommy Lafreniere — on a penalty shot — Andrew Thomson and Nathan Behm. Logan Edmonstone stopped 19 of 24 shots in the Blazers’ goal.

Kamloops went 1-3-1 on the road trip and sit at 2-5-1 on the 2024-25 season.
