Third-period burst pushes Heat to victory over Storm in Chase

CHASE, B.C. — Three unanswered third-period goals, including two power-play markers from Lynden Robertson, lifted the hometown Chase Heat to a 4-3 victory over the Kamloops Storm on Friday (Oct. 11) in Kootenay International Junior Hockey League action.

Kieran Armitage and Kaleb Preymak also scored for the Heat (5-2-1-0), whose goaltender, Meyer Gaume, stopped 43 shots to pick up the win between the pipes.

Braycen Dube, Noah Paulsen and David Ander tallied for the Storm (4-4-0-0) in support of goaltender Brenner Fyfe, who stopped 45 shots in a losing effort.

Kamloops is scheduled to host the Kelowna Chiefs (2-3-0-1) on Saturday (Oct. 12), a 7 p.m. start at McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre.
