Suspect arrested at scene of North Shore break-in
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP believe they have the person responsible for a late night break-in on North Shore Tuesday (Oct. 8) in custody.
In a news release, spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says police were called to the 100-block of Chestnut Avenue at about 10:00 p.m. Tuesday. Witnesses reported a person attempting to break into a shed in a yard.
Officers found a suspect and arrested him.
“As part of the investigation, officers also seized a baton and break-in instruments,” said Evelyn. “The man was held in custody for a bail hearing scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.”
