Nicola Valley Hospital emergency department shuts down temporarily

MERRITT — The emergency department at Nicola Valley Hospital in Merritt has been closed temporarily due to limited physician availability.

Interior Health notes in a press release emergency services will be unavailable from 8 a.m. on Sunday (Sept. 29) to 8 a.m. on Monday (Sept. 30).

Patients can access care at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.

All other inpatient services will continue as normal at NVH.

The emergency department at Lillooet Hospital and Health Centre closed temporarily for the third time in five days due to limited physician availability.
