Lillooet emergency room to close for 37 hours starting Thursday evening

LILLOOET, B.C. — Interior Health is spreading the word about a 37-hour closure of the emergency department at Lillooet Hospital and Health Centre.

The E.R. will close at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday (Sept. 26) and reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.

IH blames the closure on limited physician availability.

All other inpatient services will continue at the hospital during the closure.

Anyone in need of emergency medical care is asked to call 9-1-1 or visit Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
