Kamloops RCMP trying to determine what happened to seriously injured man found at roadside
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are once again asking the public to help investigators solve the mysterious case of a seriously injured man found at the side of a local highway.
Police were called to the Yellowhead Highway and Paul Lake Road just before 7:00 a.m. on August 30, finding a man with obvious injuries. The man was taken to hospital and remains in serious condition nearly one month later.
Investigators looking into the case now believe the man may have been assaulted — something that happened hours before he was discovered.
“The man’s injuries are very serious and we’re reissuing our appeal to the public with hope that someone will recall something that may be related,” said Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn in a news release issued Wednesday (Sept. 25). “Maybe someone saw a suspicious vehicle driving or stopped in the area that day or the night before. Maybe someone remembers passing something on the side of the highway and now realize it could be related. Or maybe someone has other information directly connected to how this man’s injuries occurred and is ready to talk. If you think you know something, please reach out as soon as possible.”
