Will Journey Get a New Lead Singer?

Following criticism of his rough performance at Rock in Rio recently, Journey’s singer Arnel Pineda has asked fans to vote on social media about whether or not he should remain in the band. In footage from Journey’s performance on September 15, Pineda’s voice can be heard cracking multiple times while he struggled to hit the high notes, especially in the group’s biggest hit, “Don’t Stop Believin’.” Pineda clearly read the negative comments about his vocals, and responded with a post on Facebook.

“It’s really amazing how 1 thousand right things you have done will be forgotten just cause of THIS,” Pineda wrote. “Mentally and emotionally, ive suffered already,and im still suffering…i am offering you a chance now to simply text GO or STAY right here..and if GO reaches 1million…im stepping out for good..are you game folks?” Most of the comments posted so far have voiced their support while encouraging the singer to “STAY.”
