KAMLOOPS – On Saturday (Sept. 21), children of all ages were invited to take part in activities offered by the Kamloops Arts Council as the Children’s Arts Festival took place at Riverside Park.

The event is long-standing around the community, running for over 20 years. It was also completely free to attend. Various booths were set up throughout the park offering face paint, arts and crafts, workshops, music and many other activities for kids to enjoy and learn about during the day. It was a chance to give kids the opportunity to not only enjoy the day but also learn something new.

“I think it’s important that it’s a day that everyone can just come together as a community and the kids can just do some art outside,” said Kamloops Arts Council program coordinator Tiana Aguiluz. “They get to see the local talent and they get to learn more about the organizations that are in Kamloops.”
