WolfPack salvage draw with Vikes on back of Lufo header

KAMLOOPS — Esi Lufo helped the TRU WolfPack secure a 1-1 draw with the Victoria Vikes in Canada West women’s soccer action on Friday (Sept. 20) at Hillside Stadium.

With her WolfPack trailing 1-0, the Albanian standout scored with a header in the 53rd minute in support of goalkeeper Cassanda De Amaral, who made four saves in the contest.

Sophie Murphy tallied for the visitors in the 48th minute.

TRU has two wins, three losses and one draw this season, while Victoria is 3-1-2.

The WolfPack will host the Mount Royal Cougars (1-4-1) of Calgary on Saturday, a 7 p.m. start at Hillside Stadium.
