Cultures from around the world shown off at Kamloops Tapestry Festival

KAMLOOPS – McDonald Park was filled with community members on Saturday (Sept. 14) as many took in the scenes of a multicultural event like no other. People from all over the world showed off their music, food and culture during the third annual Tapestry Festival.
“You don’t realize how many different cultures we have in Kamloops until you come here,” said Patti Phillips of the North Shore Business Improvement Association. “It’s such a great way to get to meet them. To me, this is an experience. You come in, people get up and dance. Every age, every color. We’re all just one, as it should be.
Hundreds of people came throughout the day to enjoy the event, taking in musical performances, shopping at the various booths around the park or just enjoying the beautiful weather.
