Cougars claw WolfPack, who drop both weekend home games

KAMLOOPS — After being swept on home turf, the TRU WolfPack men’s soccer team has an uphill climb to secure its seventh straight Canada West playoff berth.

The Mount Royal Cougars (2-1-4) of Calgary blanked the Pack 3-0 on Saturday at Hillside Stadium, leaving TRU with a record of 1-5 and sixth in the seven-team Pacific Division standings.

TRU, which fell 3-2 to Grant MacEwan of Edmonton on Friday at Hillside Stadium, will play road matches next weekend against the Dinos (3-1-2) in Calgary and Alberta Golden Bears (4-1-1) in Edmonton.
