Fauteux of Kamloops places fourth at Ironman Canada

Danielle Fauteux of Kamloops placed fourth in the female pro division at Ironman Canada last month in Penticton.

She finished in a time of eight hours, nine minutes and 27 seconds.

Fauteux completed in the 180-kilometre bike ride in 4:55:27 and the 42.2km run in 3:06:24.

The swimming portion of the event was cancelled due to low temperatures in Okanagan Lake.

Sarah True (7:52:29) of the U.S. claimed gold in the division.
