Cops for Kids making stop in Kamloops as charity ride winds down
KAMLOOPS — The Cops for Kids charity ride is cycling into Kamloops Friday (Sept. 13) afternoon.
The 2024 edition of the RCMP Southeast District’s team will stop at the downtown Kamloops RCMP detachment at 560 Battle St. at 4:00 p.m. as part of its effort to raise money for local families and children.
Nineteen riders and a support crew began their ride through southeast B.C. on Sept. 6 and will wrap up on Sunday (Sept. 15).
“Our ride team is dedicated to helping the kids in the communities where they work and serve,” Julio Krenz, a retired S/Sgt. Major and member of the Cops for Kids Board of Directors says. “For them, the hard work of the ride will be over in 10 days but for the kids we meet along the way, their journey to wellness is much longer.”
