Do you recognize this Kamloops assault suspect?
KAMLOOPS — RCMP investigators trying to solve a summertime assault in downtown Kamloops are looking to the public to help identify a suspect.
In a news release issued Thursday (Sept. 12), spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says the incident happened in the 100-block of Victoria Street West late in the evening of July 18.
The attack sent the victim to hospital with injuries believed at the time to be non-life threatening.
“Based on the investigation, police discovered the victim had been violently assaulted and robbed nearby in the area of First Avenue and Victoria Street West,” said Evelyn. “Since then, investigators have obtained an image of a suspect, which is being released to the public with the hopes that someone will be able to identify him and help further the investigation.”
