KAMLOOPS — Police are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Kamloops man.

Kamloops RCMP issued a news release on Tuesday (Sept. 10) to note 41-year-old Michael Scott has not been seen or heard from since Sept. 2.

“So far, we have received tips regarding Michael’s possible whereabouts, but have yet to locate him and confirm he is okay,” Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said the release. “If you are Michael or know where he is, please contact us as soon as possible, as his family and police are concerned for his wellbeing.”

Anyone with pertinent information can call the Kamloops RCMP detachment at (250) 828-3000 and reference file 2024-29755.

Scott is a 5-foot-9, 160-pound white male with brown eyes and facial hair. He has a tattoo on his right forearm.

He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and sweatpants and white shoes, with a white blanket around his shoulders.

The truck Scott had been driving — a blue Dodge Ram pickup, with the licence plate WC1 615 — was found near the Red Bridge on Sept. 5.

Two people were in the truck, neither of whom was Scott.

The truck was impounded as part of a driving-while-impaired-by-drug investigation.

No additional information related to his whereabouts was obtained following the vehicle’s seizure, according to the release.
