Rookie paces WolfPack to first win of Canada West campaign

KAMLOOPS — Rookie Julia La Rotta scored twice for the TRU WolfPack in a 4-0 pulverizing of the Fraser Valley Cascades of Abbotsford in Canada West women’s soccer action on Saturday at Hillside Stadium.

Captain Ainsley Grether and Bridget Baird also bulged the old onion bag for the WolfPack, who have one win and two losses on the season.

Fraser Valley did not register a shot on TRU goalkeeper Cassanda De Amaral and dropped to 0-2.

TRU will play road games next weekend against the UNBC Timberwolves (0-1) on Friday in Prince George and the UBC Thunderbirds (1-0) on Sunday in Vancouver.
