Rockets earn overtime victory over visiting Blazers in WHL pre-season contest

KELOWNA — Layton Feist, Jordan Keller and Tommy Lafreniere scored for the Kamloops Blazers in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Kelowna Rockets in WHL pre-season play on Saturday (Sept. 7) in the Little Apple.

Kanjyu Gojsic scored at 1:59 of the extra session to secure the victory for the Rockets, whose goaltender, Jake Pilon, allowed three goals on 31 shots.

Blazers’ netminders Dylan Ernst and Logan Edmonstone split time between the pipes.

Ernst allowed three goals on 22 shots. Edmonstone allowed one goal on 16 shots.

Kamloops is 1-1 in exhibition action and will play next on Friday (Sept. 13) against the Prince George Cougars at Sandman Centre.
