KAMLOOPS – RCMP say they have found three pit bulls connected to the death of a 12-year-old collie on Sunday in Kamloops.
Police spokesperson Staff Sgt. Janelle Shoihet said the collie was attacked in its owner’s backyard at about 6:15 a.m. in the 600 block of Richmond Avenue.
Investigators believe the pit bulls — two dark brown and one white with brown spots — jumped a fence into the backyard and killed the collie before hopping back over the fence and heading toward Schubert Drive.
Community services officers have confirmed that the pit bulls are in the custody of the city.
