Heartbreak at Hillside for WolfPack women

TRU WolfPack women’s soccer head coach Mark Pennington said his team suffered a heartbreaking loss on Friday (Sept. 6) at Hillside Stadium.

The Pack were tied 1-1 after 90 minutes of play with the Trinity Western Spartans, who are third in U Sports women’s soccer rankings.

Sophie Crowther of the Langley-based Spartans (1-0) scored in the 93rd minute to give her club a 2-1 victory.

Alexis Virgo bulged the old onion bag for the WolfPack in a losing effort.
