Kamloops man ‘still in shock’ after $500k lotto win
KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops man was in disbelief after netting a half-million-dollar lotto jackpot last week.
In a news release, BC Lottery Corporation says Noel Park won $500,000 by matching four of four numbers in the August 28 Lotto 6/49 draw.
“I did not believe it,” Park said, recalling he learned of his win when he checked his ticket using the BCLC Lotto! app. “I just kept repeating the amount that I won.”
He told BCLC he plans to use his winnings to help out his children before planning his retirement. Park also has his eye on a new truck but says, for now, he is “still in shock.”
